Dr.Thomas C. Helm D.Min, LPC, President/CEO
As President and Founder of Valley Counseling Group Dr. Helm provides the vision and direction for the company. He brings to the task a whole host of experiences, from his long military service to our Nation, various industry positions, education and diverse human service capacities. He has a diverse educational background as well. He holds undergraduate degrees in Business Administration and Management from Immaculate College and Long Island University. He has Master's degrees in specialized military areas as well as a Master in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. His Doctorate in Ministry/Christian Counseling is from the Seminary at American Bible College. In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), he carries several professional certifications including: Case/Care Manager Supervisor, Co-Occurring Disorders Professional, Criminal Justice Addictions Professional, Addictions Counselor II, Certificate of Competency in Problem Gambling. He has also served on the Board of Directors for NAMI of Lehigh Valley. Valley Counseling Group is the living manifestation of Dr. Helm's commitment to improving the lives of human beings everywhere by providing direct services, generating the framework for independent growth, and provisions of educational opportunities. He is firm in his commitment to enriching the lives of others and has put his beliefs into action in the creation of this agency. Dr. Helm additionally is the Director for the Drug and Alcohol Directoratte (AOD) and services.
Andrew Kroeger, Director of Human Resources and Marketing
Andrew has worked very successfully in several positions within the service continuum, including addictions counseling, group facilitation, behavioral health services, and treatment centers. He currently heads up all marketing and networking activities with local businesses and Colleges. Mr. Kroeger is also responsible for the coordination of all Human Resource functions, which include recruiting and training of new employees, and development of company policies and procedures. He holds an Undergraduate Psychology Degree and will have his Master's Degree(MBA)in Business Administration from La Salle University at the end of this semester. Andrew brings to Valley Counseling Group experience, energy, and a strong commitment to Valley Counseling Group, and to the community.
Kim Nahf, BA Director of BHRS.
As Director of the Behavioral Health Rerhabilitation Services Directorate, Mrs. Nahf, is responsible for all areas of service delivery to children with mental health and mental retardation special needs. This service naturally extends to the families of these wonderful children in our community. Kim's taskings require her to interface with a vast number of persons, and agencies both, governmental and non-governmental at various levels. She brings to this task a wealth of experience and energy that is not only professional and refreshing, but also is never ending in it's desire to improve the quality of services for our clientele. Kim is additionally responsible for her evergrowing number of supervised employee's and their training. Kim is thoroughly committed to ensuring our clients get the highest quality behavioral health services that can be obtained for every one of our children and their families
Alicia DeNardo, Assistant Director AOD Directorate
As Assistant Director of drug and alcohol (AOD) services Ms. DeNardo is responsible for many of the day-to-day operations of the intensive outpatinet and outpatient clientele. In addition to carrying a reduced caseload of clients, she has primary managerial and supervisory responsibility for the outreach programs at the satellite locations. Alicia brings to the agency a vast wealth of knowledge and experience having worked in a variety of settings in the human service sector. As well as continuing to advance her academic education, she is also pursuing additional certifications in the field of addictions. Ms. DeNardo has a profound and solid belief in the power of healing and people helping people, and goes to great lengths to ensure all clinetele receive the highest quality of service humanly possible. Alicia carries the personal committment to help others and to asssit them in being their best to all aspects of her position.
Chris Minor BS, Assistant Director of BHRS
As the Assistant Director of all activities in the BHRS Directoratte,Chris is responsible for the entire processing of referrals throughout the spectrum from the receiving of the referral to the actual initiation of wraparound services for the children and their families. This process includes a multifaceted array of steps and processes to ensure these services are started and then maintained without breaks in service. Chris has experience as a case manager and as a therapeutic support staff. The combination of his clinical and administrative experience has endowed Chris with the tools to be able to effectively and dynamically serve the clients under the BHRS directorate.
Nancy Russell, Supervisor Billing Department.
As the Supervisor of the Billing and Claims Department, Ms. Russell is responsible for the numerous day-to-day administrative tasks necessary for this diverse agency to function. Nancy noly is responsible for all the claims and billing for the various department and directorattes, there are other tasks she manages. Additionally, she is the lead individual for ensuring the administrative processing and scheduling for DUI Programming as well as the credentialing process for Valley Counseling Group as a company and for the many licensed individuals and securing their credentialing process. Whether the task is scheduling appointments, taking referrals or working with the numerous funding sources Ms. Russell is charged with seeing it is accomplished in a timely and accurate manner. She came to our the agency with over 30 years of experience in the various fields of commuting, billing, claims, accounts receivable, and general administrative responsibilities. Ms. Russell understands that without attention to these details the work of serving others could not be accomplished, and thus applies a sound professional process to ensure her responsibilites are met with absolute effectiveness.
Jennifer Sebesta , Administrative Assistant Human Resources
As Administrative Assitant to the Human Resource Directoratte, Ms. Sebesta provides a variety of critical administrative support services to the company. She has primary responsibility for AOD Chart preparation, the Screening Process, initiation of the Intake Process, the large variety of logistics required to effect this process. Ms. Sebesta also is required to maintain consistent communication and coordination of services with probation/parole, interagency liaison, and governmental interaction. Jennifer has a major tasking performing weekly auditing to ensure compliance with all AOD charts and files. She provides general office support with numerous administrative taskings. Jennifer brings to her position experience, a diverse background, and an understanding that no task is unimportant in the lives of those we serve.
